Roman Cheremnykh, a Year 10 student at ISK, has brought home a bronze medal from ICO 2026 — one of the most challenging academic competitions for secondary school students worldwide.
For us this is more than a medal — it is proof that our students' persistence and hard work deliver results at the very highest international level! The final was held in Tunisia and brought together more than 70 participants from 19 countries, including Brazil, China, Italy, Singapore, Sweden and the USA.
The Russian team performed brilliantly this year: 4 medals and the title of overall ICO champion in the team standings. And one of those medals belongs to our Roman!
This is not our school's first international success in cybersecurity: in 2025, another of our students, Ildar Khuzhiakhmetov, competed for the Russian team at ICO in Singapore. We are incredibly proud of Roman and believe he has many more victories ahead! 🚀
