      ISK EARLY YEARS

      ISK's bilingual Early Years programme provides a nurturing environment for children's holistic development through modern educational technologies and methodologies. Immersion in a bilingual environment is combined with an atmosphere of care and collaboration, where each child learns to explore the world, communicate, and build friendships.
      Early Years
      For children aged 3 to 5 years old
      Three meals a day (halal)

      A Gentle Start to the World of Learning

      Our Early Years program welcomes children aged 3 to 5.

      We create a warm, stimulating, and bilingual environment (Russian and English) where learning happens through play, exploration, and active communication.

      Our Discovery program helps children confidently and joyfully take their first steps in education.

      Interdisciplinary Approach

      All lessons are organized into thematic units lasting 6–8 weeks. This helps children connect ideas from different areas and truly understand, rather than just memorize. This approach develops both intellect and emotional resilience.

      Arts and Music

      Creativity is a vital part of our curriculum. Under the guidance of our educators, children draw, sculpt, sing, move to music, and learn to express emotions through various art forms. These activities help develop imagination, self-expression, and coordination.

      Health & Nutrition

      Throughout the day, children receive three fresh and balanced meals, play outdoors, and learn to care for themselves. Physical activity and a focus on well-being are an integral part of every day.

      What Makes Our Early Years Programme Special

      Bilingual Environment and Language Development
      All Early Years groups are bilingual: instruction is delivered in English, with Russian organically integrated into daily activities.

      We pay special attention to children for whom English is not their mother tongue. Our educators help them acquire the language with confidence, while maintaining respect for their cultural roots.

      Each class has an expatriate teacher and a Russian-speaking assistant, ensuring effective support and a comfortable immersion into the language environment.


      Preparing for Primary School at ISK
      An education at ISK provides the ideal pathway for your child's adaptation and growth.

      From the age of 3 to 18, we systematically prepare students for their transition to Primary School and beyond, through play-based learning, academic lessons, group projects, and individual presentations.

      We ensure a smooth, stress-free transition between age groups: Early Years → Primary School → Middle and High School → university admissions and preparation for study at top universities worldwide.

      08:10 - 08:30 - Greeting one another and welcoming the new day Our school day begins at 08:00. From this moment, our Early Years educators greet the children and their parents, creating a warm and caring atmosphere. This time is more than just 'arrival at school'; it's a genuine morning ritual: smiles, brief chats, answering parents' questions, and setting a positive tone for a productive school day. This start helps children feel confident, calm, and happy to engage with school life.
      Balanced Breakfast
      08:30 - 08:50 - A delicious breakfast prepared by our chefs. We provide three halal meals a day, all prepared by our chefs. * If your child has any dietary restrictions or special dietary needs, we will certainly accommodate them.
      Classes
      09:10 - 10:50 - During this period, students have lessons in English, Russian, Mathematics, and Music. All lessons are carefully balanced to ensure a comfortable workload, keeping children engaged and active. We pay special attention to our teaching methods, ensuring lessons are delivered in a fun and engaging atmosphere. This approach helps children easily grasp the material, avoid over-exertion, and enjoy the learning process.
      Sport and Games
      10:50 - 11:10 - Activities and Sport Physical activity is a mandatory part of our students' day. We care not only about children's academic development but also about their health, strength, and stamina. During this time, students switch from academic lessons to active games and sports exercises, which helps to develop coordination, strengthen their bodies, and foster a habit of healthy living.
      Lunch
      11:40 - 12:10 - A delicious lunch prepared by our chefs, always including a main course, soup, salad bar, and dessert. We provide three halal meals a day, all freshly prepared by our chefs. If your child has any dietary restrictions or special requirements, we will always accommodate them.
      Quiet Time
      11:50 - 14:30 - An opportunity to allow the body and mind time to recover. Quiet time is provided for Discovery 1, Discovery 2, and Kinder Garden groups.
      Dinner
      14:40 - 15:10 - Delicious dinner prepared by our chefs. We provide three halal meals a day, all freshly prepared by our chefs. *If your child has any dietary restrictions or special requirements, we will gladly accommodate them.
      Interactive Games
      14:50 - 15:30 - Free time for games. After a rest and dinner, the children are re-energised, and we channel this energy productively. During this time, they play, move around, and actively socialise with each other. Free play helps to develop social skills, teaches teamwork, and encourages children to find common ground with their peers. These are most often group games that strengthen friendships and create an even warmer atmosphere in the classroom.
      Extra-Curricular Activities
      15:40 - 17:00 - Yoga, games, art, neuro-gymnastics, football, dance, music, and robotics. Students engage in all these activities from an early age, ensuring their holistic development.

      Individual School Tour
      Once you have completed the application form, an Admissions Manager will contact you to confirm receipt.
      You will then be scheduled for a personalised school tour, where you will learn all about ISK. 

      School tours are conducted weekly, with each family receiving an individual tour.
      Interview and Assessment

      The format and content of the admissions assessments depend on the applicant's age.

      Practice papers for all age groups are available to help prepare for admission to ISK.



      The assessment fee is 15,000 roubles, which includes 3 attempts.

      Assessment Results
      Please note that the processing of assessment results takes two working days for Early Years and Primary School applicants. For Middle School and High School applicants, it takes one working day. You will be notified of the Admissions Committee's decision via email within the aforementioned timeframe.
      School Enrolment
      To confirm your child's enrolment at the International School of Kazan, please complete the following steps:
      • Pay the enrolment fee
      • Sign the learning agreement
      • Submit the student's personal file (for Middle School applicants only)
      Additional documents required before your child can start school:
      • Medical certificate (Form 026/U)
      • Vaccination certificate
      • Current tuberculin test result
      Please note that your child will not be able to start school until all the above steps have been completed.
